Me
My name is Mint, like pop stars who name themselves Fruit or Noodle or Fish or Red; my name is also Kang, a as in father and nothing like kangaroo. I have plenty of other names, and some of them are even official. But Mint Kang will do, primarily because it’s a name I can scrub the floor in.
I am a bright, intelligent, happy-go-lucky professional with a fondness for reading and writing fiction; and I am also cold, cynical and lazy with a depressive outlook on life and a host of bizarre psychological problems. Something for everyone.
This blog
I started out with a poor opinion of blogging in general, because many bloggers in the beginning were frankly speaking lousy writers with nothing much to say. Then again, things have evolved. The mediocre drifted out of sight. The excellent rose to the top. And hey, blogs are useful after all.
I’ve distrusted blogging sites ever since Blogger.com locked out all non-Gmail users some time ago – a demonstration of very poor monopoly management which completely turned me off the use of Blogger. I abandoned all my Blogger pieces and floated over to WordPress, and here I am until such time as I get off my lazy butt and write blog hosting code into a new website.
My other blog
I used to have a website. Then Yahoo! GeoCities closed down, and now I do not have a website. Instead I have another WordPress blog, where all my fiction, fiction backstories and comments on my fiction are plastered. It’s distinct from this blog in that this blog is likely to ramble about real-world events, while the other one isn’t.
DeviantART
The WordPress media library function is a bit clunky to use and I don’t fancy having to thumbnail all my digitized art, then upload originals plus thumbnails, then link back to everything in separate posts/pages/pdfs/etc. Especially when artwork isn’t my main thing. So I hopped on board the deviantART wagon to hold all my non-text fiction. I can’t bring myself to upload text there.

i typed ‘budgie’ in tag surfer and your entry came up. i’m sorry to hear about your little lovely bird. it is so gorgeous, and precious. i have had a similar experience with mine. they had their little lungs choked with fumigation fumes, meant to kill mosquitoes, but ended up taking my little ones away too.
please feel better soon.
